The new official international trailer has been released for the new psychological thriller “The Night House,” which stars “Godzilla vs. Kong” actress Rebecca Hall as a grieving widow who discovers her house is haunted.
Directed by David Bruckner, the director of the cult horror-thriller “The Ritual,” the film centers on an emotionally confused woman named Beth (Hall), who is trying to make sense of her husband’s unexpected death. While believing her construction-worker husband left hidden architectural clues inside their custom-made lakeside home, Beth becomes obsessed with investigating her husband’s floor plans. It just may lead to finding out exactly why he died. She, instead, unlocks a door to a terrifying spirit world where nothing is what it seems.
The horror movie also co-stars Sarah Goldberg (Barry), Vondie Curtis-Hall (Harriet), Evan Jonigkeit (Sweetbitter), and Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac).
Written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, who are the screenwriters of the cult high school horror-thriller “Super Dark Times,” “The Night House” is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 16th.
Reeling from the unexpected death of her husband, Beth (Rebecca Hall) is left alone in the lakeside home he built for her. She tries as best she can to keep it together — but then nightmares come. Disturbing visions of a presence in the house calling to her, beckoning her with a ghostly allure. Against the advice of her friends, she begins digging into her husband’s belongings, yearning for answers. What she finds are secrets both strange and disturbing — a mystery she’s determined to unravel.
